WHO RUN THE WORLD?

It has been perceived over the years and perhaps maybe to date that Men can do the extravagant and are the only ones who can turn tables and have a say, even in a room full of thousands consisting of the opposite gender, which is the Female. "It is not about men against women, but there is evidence to show through research that when you have more women in public decision-making, you get policies that benefit women, children and families in general,” Winnie Byanyima, executive director of Oxfam International, told IPS.

However, Let us swim deeper into this myth and go against it with depth understanding. Yes. It is just nothing but a myth because it is not even close to be termed a fact. 

Women and girls present half of the global population, yet, women continue to be underrepresented in leadership positions in every regions of the world. A word that's going around that what a man can do, a woman can do Best. Indeed. Women are also capable of not only turning tables but shaking the ground too causing an earthquake. See it as a joke, but trust me, I'm not even close to be called a comedian.

Today, Globally or narrowing it down to our country Kenya which I can say is enriched with lots of potentials, women are raising the bars. Be it in Political seats, High end businesses, different institutional offices, Women and Girls are doing the Most. (We need women in political positions because when an important decision is taken it is usually bent towards better equity in the family and society. This can happen when women are there and that's why we make a case for women to be in that position of power,” says Dr. Gurib-Fakim.7 Jun 2021 ) 

With all these highlighted, I can say the female gender is also an epitome beauty of Power and can rule to satisfaction. What has to be done vitally is identifying the barriers that hinder women's participation and leadership, and to share best practices that can accelerate women's power. As Marilyn Monroe stated that women who seek to be equal with men lack ambition and from this, the Females are bound to become an Eleven!
